We offer physio-led prenatal exercise classes in Canberra, including low-impact pregnancy aqua classes, designed to support strength, comfort, and confidence during pregnancy.

Classes focus on safe movement, posture, pelvic stability and cardiovascular fitness, with modifications for different trimesters and symptoms. Aquatic exercise is especially helpful if land-based exercise feels uncomfortable.

Our prenatal and postnatal exercise classes are designed to keep you strong, pain free and mobile during pregnancy and rebuild strength safely after birth. Classes focus on pelvic floor control, core strength, posture, and gradual loading — all guided by senior physiotherapists.

These classes are suitable whether you’ve been exercising regularly or you are returning to structured exercise after time away.

Prenatal Women’s Health Consultation

Our prenatal physiotherapy services in Canberra support women through every stage of pregnancy. We help manage common pregnancy concerns such as back pain, pelvic girdle pain, pelvic floor symptoms, and movement discomfort, while guiding safe, evidence-based exercise.

Care is tailored to your pregnancy, symptoms, and goals — whether you’re staying active, managing pain, or preparing for birth.

Postnatal Women’s Health Consultation

Our postnatal physiotherapy consultations focus on recovery after birth, including pelvic floor rehabilitation, incontinence, prolapse symptoms, abdominal separation (diastasis recti), pain management, and return to movement.

We support women following vaginal or caesarean birth and provide guidance for safe progression back to exercise, lifting, and daily activity.

  • Yes! This is the beauty of having a Women’s Heath Consultation before attending our classes. We are able to tailor your exercises to your body and your needs. We understand that starting can be the hardest part, but we're here to support you every step of the way!

  • All our consultations and exercises classes are held at Together Strong Physio, 25 Mustang Ave, Canberra Airport (Majura Park Shopping precinct) except for the Prenatal Aquatic Classes which are held at Hartley Hydrotherapy in Hughes.

  • As a physio-led program, we are advocates for your core and pelvic floor so specific strengthening exercises are included in every class.

  • Yes. By having a consultation with a Women's Health Physio we are able to guide you through the best exercises for your body. Even if you don’t attend our classes we strongly recommend that you see a women's health physio in your second trimester and around 6-8 weeks postnatal.
