What’s it all about?

At Bub&Me Physio we understand the importance of restrengthening postnatally.

Our postnatal aquatic exercise classes have been designed to help you recover and rebuild safely after pregnancy and birth, using the buoyancy of the water to support your muscles and joints as you exercise.

This is a Mums & Bubs class so your baby is welcome. They can float by your side in a baby boat (we will provide these), or stay restrained in the pram/capsule next to the pool if they are happy there (or asleep). This class is most appropriate when babies are aged 6 weeks - 9 months. After that, they generally want to be on the move.

Classes are run by a physiotherapist who understands the needs of the body in the postnatal period. Class numbers are kept small to allow your physiotherapist to tailor exercises as needed.

Our classes have a particular focus on:

Regaining pelvic floor and core strength
Reducing abdominal separation
Improving your energy levels and mood
Improving your cardiovascular fitness
Improving functional strength

Each class ends with mobility exercises and stretches that help reduce mama aches and pains.

These classes are safe any time from 6-weeks postnatally with verbal clearance from your OB or GP at your 6-week postnatal check.

COST: This course is $46 per class (charged by the term) and includes 1 x 60 minute class each week. If you have private health insurance with physiotherapy then you should be able to claim a rebate. Contact your health insurer to organise this.
